Shawshank Redemption is a movie about a two men, Andy and Red who was in a prison. Andy instructs Red before he escaped the prison to go to a certain place when he gets out of the prison. And when Red did, he found a letter saying, “Red, never forget. Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies.” (Shawshank Redemption) It was saying that there is always hope, and you shouldn’t give up. Joni Erickson Tada mentioned this movie, this quote, to her friends who are suffering to help them get through their suffering.

Joni Erickson Tada had an interview with Larry King on his show. She talks about her diving accident that made her quadriplegic. Joni went to the lake with her sister, she dived into the water without knowing that it was a shallow end and hit her head, making her quadriplegic. Joni Erickson Tada is a geniune believer of God who is an acomplished author and radio host. She became a quadriplegic due to her diving accident that happened when she was young. (quadriplegic means no function over their limbs, caused by an illness or injury) Even though she is a quadriplegic, and can’t move her body freely, she still believes in God and spreads God’s words.
